FAVOURITE BODY PART TO TRAIN:

Legs! Legs have been my hardest gainers so in the process of spending much of my energy and focus on them I’ve grown to love training them. Bring on leg day!

TOP 3 EXERCISES:

  • Leg press- because I can lift pretty damn heavy for someone my size
  • Squats- because I enjoy the mind challenges I associate with them
  • Shoulder Press, Pull Ups & Bent over dumbbell rows take an equal 3rd

ULTIMATE CHEAT MEAL:

My cheat meal changes every week depending on what I’m craving- sometimes it’s pasta, sometimes it’s pancakes, and sometimes I crave nothing but a massive serve of roast veggies! The one treat that prevails every time though is chocolate. Cookies and Cream and Top Deck are my fave.

FAVOURITE THING TO DO OUTSIDE OF TRAINING:

Be entertained by my girlfriend. She keeps me smiling and laughing constantly. Aside from that I love trolling the internet for training pics and vids for inspiration.


WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED?

The outcomes from training itself keep me motivated, resulting in me looking and feeling good. I enjoy the process of setting a goal with every single training session, knowing that it all feeds into my long term goals with training. With me it’s not so much a matter of what keeps me motivated to train, but more what keeps me motivated to have a rest day! 


WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WANTING TO COMPETE?

Reflect on the reasons behind why you want to compete because this will fuel you through the process.
Find someone to support you through prep & comp.
Know that the process of comp prep and competition itself will challenge you in ways that you can’t possibly conceive. The rewards will be extensive, and will continue to be felt long after stepping off the stage.

My coach, Chris Hosking. He is an incredibly generous and humble man who makes me truly believe that I’m capable of anything, that my boundaries are limitless and that I can be my own superhero!
