Glucose disposal agents (GDAS) are intended to help shuttle glucose to muscle as opposed to fat and improve your insulin sensitivity. Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas when blood sugar levels start to rise, typically after a meal. If glucose isn't used for fuel, insulin directs the glucose to be stored as glycogen in either the liver, skeletal muscle, and /or fat. 

Stored glycogen can then be used as a fuel source for future physical activity, such as running, weight lifting, and biking. Insulin, on its own, does a phenomenal job at regulating blood glucose levels. However, GDA's are intended to reduce the amount of glucose that enters fat tissues, while increasing liver and skeletal muscle glycogen levels. 

But glucose isn't the only thing that can be stored as fat... which is why we didn't just create a basic glucose disposal agent.

GDA+ is much more than a standard glucose disposal agent, it's an all-encompassing nutrient partitioning agent. GDA+ was specifically formulated to optimize the digestion and absorption of each macronutrient - carbohydrates, fats & protein. 

GDA+ contains various matrices formulated for specific purposes, such as:

Liposan® Ultra Chitosan

Liposan® Ultra is a patented form of Chitosan derived from shellfish. Lipsan Ultra® was developed by Primex EHP - an Icelandic marine biotech company that's a leader in the sustainable production of Chitosan. Liposan Ultra® can help aid weight loss by binding to dietary fats in the stomach, resulting in decreased absorption. 

Liposan Ultra® dissolves rapidly in stomach acid, is fast-acting, and binds to fat up to five times more than other forms of Chitosan. Furthermore, Liposan Ultra® may help maintain normal blood low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels. Since Liposan Ultra® is so effective at reducing the absorption of fats, it's the main ingredient in our fat-blocking complex for GDA+. 

Prickly Pear Leaf

Similar to Liposan Ultra®, prickly pear leaf is included in GDA+ to reduce the absorption of dietary fats, Prickly pear leaf is a rich source of fiber, antioxidants, and various vitamins. So it offers several health benefits. 

Supplementing with Prickly Pear may: 

  • Reduce LDL Cholesterol Levels
  • Decrease fasting blood glucose levels
  • Lower absorption and storage of fats

Cinnamon Bark Extract

Cinnamon Bark, also known as Cinnamon Verum, contains high amounts of a bioactive compound that mimics insulin called Methlyhydroxychalcone. Insulin is the hormone that shuttles carbohydrates out of the bloodstream and into muscle, liver, or fat cells. In this case, Cinnamon Bak acts as a natural nutrient partitioning agent and helps direct the carbohydrates supplied by the ingredients highlighters above to the working muscles.  

Supplementing with Cinnamon Bark may: 

  • Enhance insulin sensitivity
  • Decrease blood glucose levels
  • Positively affect blood lipid levels

White Kidney Bean

White Kidney Bean extract, also known as Phaseolus Vulgaris, acts as a natural dietary carbohydrate blocker because it contains at lease three Alpha-amylase inhibitors. Amylase is a digestive enzyme that breaks down and increased the absorption of starches (carbohydrates). 

By decreasing the activity of Amylase, Wite Kidney Beans are able to significantly reduce the number of carbohydrates the body can uptake. This results in greater excretion of glucose, along with lower insulin response. 

Garcinia Cambogia

Garcinia Cambogia is a tree that's native to Southeast Asia and India. The fruit it produces, specifically the fruit rind, is rich in a chemical called Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA). HCA is the main bioactive constituent that's attributed to Garcinia Cambogia's health benefits. 

HCA is able to promote weight loss by decreasing appetite, enhancing fat burning, and decreasing the formation of fat in the body (Lipogenesis). Moreover, Garcinia Cambogia is anti-inflammatory and has the potential to increase insulin sensitivity, leading to improved bloody sugar control over time. The specific extract of Garcinia Cambogia used in GDA+ is standardized to contain at lease 50% HCA to ensure maximum effectiveness. 

Glucomannan

Glucomannan is a water-soluble fiber that's derived from the Konjac root. Fiber is not only great for overall digestive health, but it can also decrease the absorption of carbohydrates, Cholesterol, and fats by binding them in the gastrointestinal tract. Soluble fiber works by forming a gel-like substance by drawing water into the digestive system, thus adding bulk to your stool. 

Besides increasing the excretion of carbohydrates, fats, and cholesterol, Glucomannan may improve satiety, lipid profiles, glycemic control, and reduce total cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Glucomannan seems to be more effective for weight loss than other types of soluble fiber, which is why we use it in GDA+. 

Digeseb

Digeseb™ is a proven and effective enzyme blend developed by specialty enzyme & probiotics. Digeseb™ is included in Home Made to significantly improve the digestion and absorption of all the nutrients. Digestive enzymes are essential for digestive health and supplementing with them can reduce the risk of gastrointestinal issues, such as gas, bloating, and heartburn. 

Here's an overview of the substrate that each enzyme helps break down: 

  • Amylases - Breaks down starches (complex carbohydrates)
  • Lactase - Breaks down lactose (milk sugars)

Gymnema Sylvestre is a plant that's native to parts of Africa, India, and Australia. It's leaves have been used for thousands of years in Ancient Medicinal practices to treat various ailments. Today, GS4® is most commonly used for its powerful anti-diabetic properties.

Bioperine®
