Our Organic Guar Gum Powder is made by grinding the seed of guar beans. It is an off-white, flour-like powder with an earthy odour. Guar gum can be used as a thickener and emulsifier in gluten-free baking and cooking, it can also be used as a fibre supplement as a source of soluble fibre.
Only a very small quantity of guar gum is needed for thickening to create a 'sticky' quality. If too much is used, baking tends to become heavy and stringy in texture.
Organic guar gum is made by grinding the seeds of dried guar beans. The guar seeds are dehusked, milled and screen to produce an off-white coloured flour-like powder.
Guar gum can be used in gravies, sauces and soups in place of flour as a thickening agent.
